Joyful – My New Suite B Signature Collection designed by Cherish Flieder

I am so excited to announce my new FW2021 Signature Collection “Joyful” by Suite B from Island Batik designed from the watercolor artwork of Cherish Flieder.

Even though Cherish and I have never met, I feel we share a common bond. We have a passion for art and design. We believe beautiful things happen when colors and textures are combined in unique and unexpected ways. We enjoy helping people and are continually learning to grow and nurture our creative souls. Cherish summarizes it perfectly – “Make Creative Things ~ Guide Creative People ~ Nourish Artistic Beauty”.

The Collection

The collection represents the pure joy of knowing that every day is a gift and taking the time to enjoy the day for all that it offers.

As you look at the 20 designs Cherish has create in the “Joyful” collection you will fall in love with her beautiful floral watercolor artistry. If you would like to see more of Cherish’s artistry visit her web site at Something to Cherish.

Pre-orders for “Joyful” are available now, orders can be placed through Island Batik with a delivery date set in March of 2022 if you place your orders this month.

I hope you love this collection as much as I do.

New Quilt Design Inspiration

The watercolor artistry in the “Joyful” collection inspired me to create some new quilt designs to share with you. Each quilt design uses at least 4 – 5 fabrics from the collection. These new patterns will also be available for ordering in March of 2022.

The first new design is Camille. It finishes to 65″ x 65″. Combining the textures of florals and plaids makes this a happy and cheerful quilt project to cuddle under and read a good book.

If you want something a little brighter and bigger for a bed size project, I design “Garden Party”, which finishes to 65″ x 80″. The pretty pops of orange complement the bright watercolor floral prints. Simple strip piecing makes this quilt a project that any advanced beginner quilter would enjoy.

If you are looking for something more on the modern side then you may be interested in “Fancy Fans”. It is a smaller project that would look lovely on a wall or could be used as a table topper. It finishes to 35″ x 35″. It would be a great project if you are interested in sharpening you foundation paper piecing skills.

Wanting to try something new

If you are looking for something a little more challenging, then you might like “Parasol Pinwheels”. The finished project is 61″ x 61″ and would make a lovely, cheerful wall hanging to brighten up any room.

If you want something that makes a statement then maybe “Givney Garden” is more your style. It finishes to 49″ x 49″, a nice size for a wall quilt. It draws you in to the dreamy watercolor strokes of blue, green, and orange that surround the blocks and are repeated in the border.

Looking for a graduation gift, then maybe consider “Reflections”. It is a 59″ x 70″ lap size project. This project is prefect a gift, filled with love and happiness.

Or maybe you would like a more patriot quilt to adorn your wall during the month of July, “Fluttery” might be something to consider. It incorporates the rich reds and navy prints from the “Joyful” collection.

Find Joy in Every Day

Sharing the “Joyful” collection with you, warms my heart. May it bring a little happy into your life and inspire you to not wait until tomorrow but take that leap of faith and do what you have always dreamed of doing that brings you joy. As Cherish says – “Start right now. There’s no time in life for do-overs. The way you do it will be just right for right now, as long as you are willing to adjust along the way. Don’t wait to sing your song, dance your dance, give your gift, or paint your dream. Be the authentic, original, and the best version of you.”

Happy Quilting!
