A new collaboration with the Tuffet Source & Carol Moellers Designs
The Victorian Tuffet
Do you like to make beautiful home décor items? If you do, I have a fun and fabulous project – A Tuffet!
I teamed up with Sharyn from The Tuffet Source and using my Victorian Island Batik Signature collection, which is designed by Kathy Engle, I created this Victorian foundation paper pieced tuffet project.
The fabric collection brings the Victorian era into the 21st century. The Victorian era saw revolutionary breakthroughs in the arts and sciences, which shaped the world as we know it today. This lovely collection has design elements inspired by the artist and poet William Morris.
Fabrics used
I selected these fabrics from the Island Batik Victorian collection, a variety of light, medium, and dark fabrics.
The Tuffet Materials
The Tuffet Source has all the hardware and items you need to assemble the tuffet. You will need one of Sharyn’s Fabric Foundation Pieced patterns, SKU: R-FFP100 . The printed fabric foundation in Sharyn’s pattern makes the process of fitting my foundation paper-pieced Victorian Tuffet pattern cover to the tuffet form. The printed eight fabric foundation wedge shapes in Sharyn’s pattern provide a sewing guide to assist in making a perfect wedge shape so your tuffet cover will fit perfectly. Sharyn’s pattern includes

- On-line search tips for locating tuffet- making supplies
You will also need a tuffet kit with feet. I choose the pre-assembled kit with espresso ST50 style feet. The item number to order is SKU: R-KAST50E if you want your tuffet to have the feet like those that are shown on my Victorian tuffet.
With Sharyn’s kit materials and my Victorian foundation paper-pieced pattern to make the tuffet cover, you have everything you need to make this lovely project.
Ordering the Victorian Tuffet Pattern
If you are a store owner and would like to order multiple copies I offer quantity discounts. For this reason I am requesting you contact me to provide you with wholesale prices for the pattern. For wholesale purchases I do have a minimum order quantity of 3. Please email me at [email protected].
If you are just wanting to purchase an individual pattern, please email me. I will send you a link which you will be able to download a PDF of the pattern. If you do not want a PDF download, and want a printed pattern please indicate this in your email message to me.
The Victorian Tuffet pattern will be sent to you in a clear plastic hanging envelope for displaying in your shop.
All patterns will include all foundation paper pieced templates, fabric requirements, and instructions for making the tuffet cover.
