The holidays will be here before we realize it. Looking for a new wall hanging to display for all your family and friends that come to visit. Check out my new quilt pattern I designed called “Holiday Merry Hearts”. The heart Irish chain quilt is featured in Quiltmaker Magazine! The quilt is made with Island Batik Foundation Batiks. The beautiful batik fabrics are incorporated in the heart appliqué and Irish Chain blocks, to make a quilt that can stay out from Christmas through Valentine’s Day!
The pattern for Holiday Merry Hearts is on page 44 through 49 in the magazine. If you are not a subscriber to the magazine, the November/December issues of Quiltmaker will be arriving in quilt shops and news stands in the next few weeks. It can also be downloaded on Quilting Daily’s website.
This quilt symbolizes the love that is shared with family, friends, and loved ones. It was inspired by the beautiful red and green antique quilts I admire. I thought this would be a nice opportunity to design a holiday quilt using gentle hues of reds and greens, which would not only be enjoyed through the holiday season but also into February for Valentine’s Day.”
The pattern is versatile too. It would make a lovely gift for a family member celebrating a special occasion, such as an engagement, wedding, or anniversary.
