I am excited to share a new quilt pattern I designed called “Starbust”. This starry night quilt featured in the McCall’s Quilting May/June 2023 magazine! It was a great surprise to learn it has been selected to be featured on the cover of the magazine. The quilt is made with a “Glam” fat quarter bundle, a sparkly rainbow of colors designed by Patrick Lose Fabrics. The bright colorful fabrics and friendship star design dazzles the senses with its dynamic combination of color, shape, and print.
Background Fabric Used
The background fabric I selected for this quilt is Hooray. A confetti collection of small colorful squares that add the sparkle to the colorful stars.
Detail of Starburst
The quilt finishes to 76″ x 88″. The quilt is framed with a sawtooth style border. The star blocks are HRT (half rectangle triangles). The quilt pattern is available in the magazine and also for individual purchase from Quilting Daily. The quilt is for an immediate level quilter.
