I am excited to share with you a new quilt pattern I designed called “Garden’s Bounty”. This delightful quilt is a scrap sensation featured in the March/April 2023 issue of Quiltmaker magazine! Whether you choose to go traditional or modern with your fabric, the final result will be beautiful. I used Prairie prints and Bee-Backgrounds both by Lori Holt (@beelori1) for @rileyblakedesigns.

Fabric used in Garden’s Bounty
The background fabric used to make this quilt is from Lori Holt’s Bee Backgrounds for Riley Blake Designs. A lovely collection of small prints that add lots of scrappy interest to the quilt.

All the wonderful color in the quilt come from Lori’s Prairie collection designed for Riley Blake Designs. It is a rainbow of calicos that are so fun to create with.

Detail of Garden’s Bounty
The quilt finishes to 81″ x 89″. The quilt is framed with dancing diamonds in Seminole style border.

The blocks designed for the quilt are 8″ x 12″ with a whimsical zig-zag layout. The rick-rack illusion of the chain blocks arranged in alternating directions complements Lori’s vintage fabric design.

The blocks used in this quilt are so simple, adorable half-square triangles and diamond in a square units.
All the instructions to make Garden’s Bounty can be found beginning on page 12 of the March/April 2023 issue of Quiltmaker.
I hope you like this pattern I have designed and will make this time treasured quilt.
Happy Quilting!
