Hello Quilters! I am thrilled to be in the March/April issue of  McCall’s Quilting magazine.

The quilt I designed, Enchanted Evening Star is the featured Quilt Of Valor quilt in the issue.

If you would like to see all the other wonderful quilts featured in this issue here is a link to a video showcasing the quilts and their designers.

My quilt Enchanted Evening Star uses the patriot prints of red, white, and blue from RJR Fabric’s Bacically Patrick collection in a lap size quilt that is perfect for a deserving veteran.

Being able to make this involved-looking quilt with only half-square triangles and simple flying geese blocks means that it is achievable for even a confident beginner. It is all in the fabric choices and placement to create a wonderful secondary design pinwheel block.  The quilt is make with one 12″ block which is repeated 20 times.  The pinwheel appears when the blocks are sewn together.  If you want to know more or would like to purchase the March/April issue visit McCall’s Quilting for more details.

On February 11th I will be appearing as a McCall’s Quilting guest blogger.  Mark the date and make sure you visit the McCall’s Quilting blog site, there will be a fabulous GIVEAWAY of RJR Fabric.  I will be giving away 2 – Basically Patrick fat quarter bundles designed by fabric designer Patrick Lose.  14 assorted fat quarters in each prize package from the “Basically Patrick” collection of basics and blenders in the range of colors shown.  Lily’s Linen, Hexies, Suds, Stars, and Dapple prints
